Neuroteach Level 1: Planning for Forgetting

STRUCTURING UNITS & LESSONS THAT PREVENT KNOWLEDGE DECAY

Neuroteach Level 1: Curriculum Design Track: Micro-Course D

Students are expected to learn a bunch of content in Mrs. Dorris's 9th grade Art History course, but you fear that the curriculum that you've inherited as Mrs. Dorris's substitute won't actually lead to the students retaining everything they're learning. Can you redesign the curriculum so that students are able to build durable, lasting knowledge?

Planning for Forgetting debunks popular neuromyths and replaces them with modern, research-informed strategies for creating spaced, interleaved, and engaging teaching plans that help students better retain information.

This micro-course is experienced in two video driven lessons, eight story-based scenarios and two graded real life missions for 60 to 90 minutes over one to three weeks.
